The U.S. Virgin Islands are located in the Lesser Antilles of the Caribbean about 1,080 miles east-southeast from the continental U.S. They are easily reached by air and sea from anywhere in the world. The islands are a 3-1/2 hour non-stop flight from New York City; 3 hours from Atlanta; and 2-1/2 hours non-stop from Miami. Several major airlines offer regularly scheduled flights to the USVI, and many smaller airlines service the British Virgin Islands. Ferry service between the islands is also available.
